Horseback riding is an activity recommended for children. Children love animals and horses in particular. Horse riding is an appropriate activity for kids of different ages. Small children can ride ponies and older children on normal horses. Horseback riding is an excellent activity for children with disabilities and there are special courses for those kids. Horseback riding combines many benefits like physical exercise and enjoyment.

When you are looking for place to ride, it is important you choose a certified horseback riding club that strict on safety (authorized guide, helmet, etc.).

Activities for kids about space and astronomy

The whole subject of Space fascinating Kids. Kids imagine spaceships, aliens, missiles etc. They are much more connect to space in their regular live than adults, because there are lots of TV Series and movies that Occurred in space (Like “Star Trek” and “Superman”). Therefore, Space activity can enthuse children and it has educational value so we as parents Love it.

There are many activities about space and I’ll introduce some ideas:

• Activities on stars: You can teach kids the various planets and explain them how the planets spinning around themselves and around the sun. You can demonstrate the movement by observing the moon during differents time and see how he moves. If they want, they can construct a model of the solar system using balls of different sizes (This combine creative and crafts activities for kids who love craft). In addition to these Examples, More advanced tasks can be use telescope or even visit to planetarium .

• Spaceships activities: you can teach your children topics such as spacecraft, shuttle, Satellites and so on. They can build a model using toilet paper of the spacecraft with multiple stages, so you can demonstrate the kids how in each stage of the flight the spacecraft parts released, and how only the edge of spacecraft reaches the target. You can also explain to your children what are satellites and what their role.

• Astronauts activities for kids: You can buy astronauts Costumes and Dress up the kids like astronauts. It will be more fun for them to learned about astronauts jobs and how the gravity affects their live in space (how they eat, how they sleep – standing up, and so on).

As you can see, there are many activities you can find in space subject. As mentioned before, space related activities are perfect because they combine fun and educational, and children love them very much.

Kids Activity: Preparation of plasticine sculptures

Today’s activity is the preparation of plasticine sculptures and shapes. Children and parents love plasticine Activity, the kids because it fun and the parents because it is not dirty activity.
Kids can make plasticine Shapes in many forms an in different levels (From example: snake or elephant).
If your children have difficulty in preparation advance shapes you can teach him how to make a snowman plasticine: small circle above Big circle above giant circle. If you want I recommend to buy specific book that illustrates how to make plasticine forms, I think that book is better from seeing plasticine website because it’s more comfortable to sit not in front of a computer when you using plasticine.

Kids activities: Recycling Crafts

Today’s activity is creating Crafts from recycled bottles. I think is very important to introduce the theme of recycling to children at an early age. One of the best activities for that is to make crafts  from recycled materials.
I choose to make flowers from recycled bottles.
The preparation is very simple:

• Take a Bottle and cut it into two parts (each part will be a single flower).
• Cut slices along the bottles.
• Contact stick to the bottles (in our example a used a piece of garden pipe – Recycling Motif) by insert it to hole you make inside the cork.
• paint the flowers with colorful colors.

And we have Recycled Craft…

Decorating Easter Eggs

Easter is here so today activity is decorating Easter eggs. In order to decorate eggs you need just three elements: plastic eggs, paint and a little creativity.
I searched the internet in order to give you some examples of Easter egg craft, and found perfect gallery of egg decoration ideas at Disney FamilyFun site:

So, have a Happy Eastern to all Christians and Happy Passover to all Jewish.

By the way, Because I am Jewish, and I celebrate Passover this week, I prefer to decorate nuts (One of the Jewish traditions is to play with nuts in the Passover holiday), but the idea is the same and the Easter eggs Craft can be done easily with nuts.
