Kids Halloween Costumes Ideas and Tips – Part 1

Hi to all parents,
Halloween holiday is approaching fast so I decided to do a special project for the holiday.
Every few days I’ll add related tips for the holiday, costumes, party activities for Halloween
And more.

Today I’ll start with number of tips for choosing Halloween costume:

1. Be attentive to your children, do not try to find them costume against their will. It is easier to take their ideas and develop them.

2. Be sure that the costume is convenience. If the costume is beautiful it is not enough. Remember that the children will have to run and move with the costume all day.

3. Fit the costume to the weather.

4. If the child does not want to dress up or afraid from the costumes (especially infants and toddlers), try to choose a simple symbolic costume. Funny hat, a cute accessory, etc..

5. Do not leave the selection of costumes to the last minute. It just adds pressure, decreased costumes selection and decrease the possibility to buy online.

Decorating Easter Eggs

Easter is here so today activity is decorating Easter eggs. In order to decorate eggs you need just three elements: plastic eggs, paint and a little creativity.
I searched the internet in order to give you some examples of Easter egg craft, and found perfect gallery of egg decoration ideas at Disney FamilyFun site:

So, have a Happy Eastern to all Christians and Happy Passover to all Jewish.

By the way, Because I am Jewish, and I celebrate Passover this week, I prefer to decorate nuts (One of the Jewish traditions is to play with nuts in the Passover holiday), but the idea is the same and the Easter eggs Craft can be done easily with nuts.

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter is coming and today I want to propose an idea to make the Easter egg hunt more challenging and fun.
Hide plastic eggs and put in some of them small bells. The goal of the children to collect as many eggs without the bells ring inside them. Adding the bells inside the eggs will cause the children to look slowly, and it will increase the game duration.
So Have a Happy Easter, and of course you are invited to add your own ideas.

Kids Holiday Activities – Purim

Hi,

In the last Post I talked about Halloween Activities.  Today I want to talk about “Purim”.  Purim is the most happiest  Jewish Holiday and it treasure for kids. Like Halloween all the child are dress up with costumes with a great joy and like the Carnival in Brazil It is customary to make street parades.

One of the most beautiful customs is giving gifts made from Sweets. Before the holiday we fill the house with candy and the whole family sitting Preparing gifts for friends. In this holiday there are so many options for Kids Activities, Preparing costumes takes about a week and schools are doing a costume contest.

The funniest holiday activity called “Reverse day”. All children arrive to the garden with pyjamas, the gardening wish them “Good night” instead of “Good morning” , they darkening The garden and the kids like going to sleep. When they wake up they eat “dinner instead of breakfast. It’s very funny to them.
